Sheryl Crow did not mean to make a “big stink” about Taylor Swift‘s drama with Scooter Braun.
As we reported, while appearing on Watch What Happens Live, the Soak Up The Sun musician commented on Braun’s acquisition of Swift’s master recordings through his $300 million purchase of Big Machine — Crow’s current label.
In response to a fan’s question, the 57-year-old said she didn’t “know what the big stink was” as it’s “not unusual for your masters to change hands like 9,000 times.”
After making headlines, the If It Makes You Happy songstress went on Twitter on Thursday to clarify her remarks.
In her message, Crow admitted she “chose the wrong word” — “stink” — explaining:
